Hotel and Restaurant Furniture Reupholstery in San Francisco and the Bay Area
A torn booth seat or a scratched tabletop is the first thing a guest notices, and the last thing you have time to deal with. Marina's Crafts is a family-owned upholstery and wood refinishing shop with over 20 years of craftsmanship. We repair, reupholster and refinish the furniture that hotels and restaurants use every day, from Pacifica to Napa and from San Ramon to the Sacramento area.

What we work on
For restaurants, bars and cafés
Booths and banquettes: single, double and corner booths, Pullman booths, long wall banquettes and curved banquettes. New vinyl or fabric, rebuilt seats and backs, repaired frames.
Dining chairs and bar stools: loose joints, broken legs, worn seats, new covers on swivel stools.
Tabletops and bar tops: stripping, repairing and refinishing wood tops so they look good again and hold up to daily wiping.
Settees and lounge seating for waiting areas and patios.
For hotels, inns and lounges
Lobby and lounge seating: sofas, armchairs and benches that take the most wear.
Guest-room furniture: headboards, chairs, ottomans and benches.
Wood furniture and casegoods: desks, dressers, side tables and reception pieces, repaired and refinished.
Curtains and drapes: beautiful custom curtains and drapes, in European-quality fabrics and styles, to finish the room. See our Drapes and Curtains page.
Curved booth: patterned fabric back, leather seat

Why reupholster instead of buying new?
Most commercial booths and chairs are built on solid frames that outlast their covers by many years. When the vinyl cracks or the foam goes flat, the frame underneath is usually still good. Reupholstering keeps the furniture that already fits your floor plan, your booth layout and your style. You choose the new look, and you don't have to remeasure the room or wait for a new furniture order.
It also lets you do the job in stages: one section of the dining room, one floor of the hotel, or only the pieces that need it now.

How we work with hotels and restaurants
1. Send us a photo. Use the quote form on our Contact page, or the "Get a quote" form on our home page, and attach a few photos. A photo of each type of piece, plus rough sizes, is usually enough to start.
2. We come to see it. For bigger jobs we visit your restaurant or hotel to look at the pieces, take measurements and bring fabric and vinyl samples.
3. You get a written quote. We price each job piece by piece. Every quote is written, lists each item, and says how long it is valid. Fabric or vinyl is listed separately, because the price depends on the material you choose.
4. On site or in our shop. Some work we do right inside your place: we come to you and work on site. Other pieces we pick up, take to our shop, and bring back finished. We pick up and deliver across San Francisco and the Bay Area, including the Peninsula, the East Bay and San Ramon, and up to Napa, Santa Rosa and Healdsburg. Our second location serves the Sacramento area.
5. We plan around your business. Tell us which days and hours your dining room or lobby is quiet, and we'll plan the pickups, deliveries and on-site work around them.

Choosing the right material
Restaurant and hotel furniture is used, cleaned and sat on far more than furniture at home. When you choose a cover, ask about:
Durability: commercial-grade vinyl and fabric are made for heavy daily use.
Cleaning: how the material handles spills and the cleaners your staff uses.
Matching: if you're only redoing part of a room, bring us a sample or a photo of the existing cover so the new pieces fit in.
We'll bring samples and help you compare them. You can also supply your own fabric or vinyl.
